Red Square, Moscow Russia
  • Red Square has long been the center stage of Moscow life. It was the scene of ceremonies under the ruling tsars beginning in the 16th century. During the Soviet period, important state holidays such as May Day and the anniversary of the Bolshevik revolution were celebrated here. The “Red” in the name of the square comes not from the color but from the Russian word krasnaya, meaning “beautiful.” In addition to the Kremlin, the most notable structure bordering the famous square is the ornate St. Basil’s Cathedral.

Mecca, Saudi Arabia

  • The al-Haram Mosque in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, holds the holiest shrine of Islam, the Kaaba. As the birthplace of Islam’s founder, the Prophet Muhammad, Mecca is considered a holy city. It is a pilgrimage point for Muslims worldwide, who are expected to visit the city at least once if they are able to do so. Jeddah, is one of mecca's provinces and it is one of the biggest province Saudi Arabia.

Manila, Philippines
  • Manila is the capital and largest city of the Philippines. Located on the eastern shore of Manila Bay on Luzon Island, the city has a deep, sheltered harbor and modern waterfront, which help make it the country’s main seaport. The Pasig River divides Manila between the original city, on its southern bank, and the more modern section, on its northern bank. Spanish colonists founded the city in 1571, and Spanish influence shows in the old district’s architecture, shown here.
